Most venues here started life as something else — a warehouse, a printing house, a storefront — and that history shapes what we need to plan around: where the power actually is, how freight or street-level load-in works, and how much of the room's character should carry into the backdrop choice.

Converted buildings need an outlet check. Deep Ellum's warehouses and historic storefronts are exactly the kind of property where grounded three-prong outlets were added later and can be scarce or unevenly placed — worth confirming with your venue before you settle on a corner for the booth. Ceiling height is usually generous in these spaces, but sloped or lowered sections near the edges of a room are common, so it's still worth a check.
Load-in and street parking take planning here. Deep Ellum venues often load in from a street-level door or a shared alley rather than a dedicated loading dock, and event nights can mean street closures or heavy foot traffic on Elm and Main. We build extra time into setup for it — but flagging your venue's specific load-in point in advance keeps things smooth.
