Knox Street, Henderson Avenue, and Lower Greenville run together as one of the most social stretches in Dallas — a mix of restored bungalows converted into restaurants, boutique hotels, patio bars, and event spaces packed into a walkable few blocks. It sits just east of Central and a few minutes north of downtown, well inside our standard service area.
From a booth standpoint, what unites these neighborhoods is that the venues themselves are usually smaller and more intimate than a hotel ballroom. Private dining rooms, upstairs event floors, and back patios are the norm, and the room's character is usually the reason someone booked it. The plan we build here is about fitting neatly into that room, not competing with it.

Venues in and around Knox-Henderson and Lower Greenville include Truck Yard on Sears Street, Smithy on Henderson, L.A.Y.D Spaces near Henderson Avenue, and the Granada Theater on Greenville Avenue, among others. Private dining rooms at restaurants along Knox Street and Henderson Avenue host smaller receptions and rehearsal dinners most weekends.
Space is the thing to plan around here. Many of these venues were built as houses, bungalows, or storefronts and later converted for events, so the rooms are more intimate than a purpose-built space. In a room built for 60 to 100 guests, a 10×10 booth area is a real share of the floor, and it competes with the dance floor and the bar. Skipping the backdrop when the room already has character — brick walls, patio string lights, an interesting bar back — drops us from 10×10 to 8×8 and usually looks better anyway.
Load-in and parking take planning. Knox, Henderson, and Greenville all get busy on event nights, and street parking near the venue is often at a premium. Most of these venues load in through a street-level door or a back alley rather than a dedicated loading dock, and a few have upstairs event floors with no elevator — worth flagging when you book so we can plan the gear haul.
