Lakewood sits about five miles east of downtown, wrapped around the south and east edges of White Rock Lake. It is largely a residential neighborhood — Tudor houses and craftsman bungalows on tree-lined streets — with a compact commercial pocket along Abrams and Gaston. It is well inside our standard service area, an easy drive from Uptown, Deep Ellum, and downtown.
Because Lakewood is mostly homes and small commercial buildings, events here split between at-home celebrations, historic venues around the lake, and a handful of restaurants and wine bars with private rooms. The plan we build usually starts with two questions: where in the room is the outlet, and what will the space look like once tables are set.

Venues in and around Lakewood include the Filter Building on White Rock Lake on White Rock Road, Winfrey Point overlooking the lake, Times Ten Cellars on Prospect Avenue, and Lakewood Country Club at Gaston and Abrams, among others.
Lakefront venues need a rain plan. The Filter Building, Winfrey Point, and the picnic pavilions around White Rock Lake are some of the most photographed spots in Dallas, but they are also weather-exposed. Even when the booth is indoors, guests often move between inside and outside, and heavy rain can change the layout on the day. We keep the booth under solid cover with a grounded three-prong outlet within reach, and we are happy to talk through a fallback placement before the day if the forecast turns.
At-home events are common here. Lakewood is full of older homes with beautiful character rooms but tight footprints and, in many cases, two-prong outlets in the rooms you would most want to use. If the booth is going in a garden or on a driveway, it still needs to reach a grounded outlet and stay under cover if rain is possible. Deciding on an indoor fallback spot when you plan the layout usually solves it before it becomes a problem.
